Angular CLI MCP Server
Pick it when the agent works on an Angular app and should use current Angular APIs, run builds and tests itself, and follow version-matched best practices; start with --read-only if you only want docs and analysis.
Tools: 9, ~3,107 tokens of tool definitions loaded into the model's context (default configuration; measured 2026-10-26, v22.2.4). Compare all servers →

Install
Run `npx -y @angular/cli mcp` as a stdio server, e.g. in .cursor/mcp.json or .vscode/mcp.json: `"command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@angular/cli", "mcp"]` (append `--read-only` to block changes). Official install docs ↗
Credentials: None (local stdio server via npx; Node.js and an Angular workspace).
What it can access
Runs inside your Angular workspace: lists projects from angular.json, starts and stops `ng serve`, runs configured targets (build, test, lint, e2e, deploy), plans OnPush/zoneless migrations, and searches angular.dev docs and best practices. `--read-only` registers only non-modifying tools; `--local-only` skips tools that need internet.
