FAQ
- Is this a security audit?
- No. Nothing in the pack is a security audit or certification. It summarizes each vendor's official documentation (read-only modes, scoped tokens, flags), with the source link and the date we checked it. Review each server's permissions and code before you install it.
- Can't I find all of this for free?
- Yes. Every config comes from public vendor docs, and every server has a free page in this catalog. The pack saves you the digging: JSON for both clients checked against the docs, grouped by stack, with the least-privilege options already applied and the sources in one place.
- Which clients does it cover?
- Claude Code (.mcp.json and claude mcp add commands) and Cursor (.cursor/mcp.json, with "type": "stdio" on local servers as Cursor's docs require). The Agent Skills install in Claude Code.
- Did you run every server hands-on?
- No. The configs follow the vendors' READMEs and docs, re-checked on the edition date. Servers change, so each item links its source so you can confirm before relying on a flag.
- What format is it?
- A zip with JSON config files, a shell script of CLI commands and notes per stack, plus the full guide as Markdown and PDF.
- Do I need accounts or API keys?
- Only for the services you connect (for example a GitHub token or a Grafana service account). Keys stay in your environment variables; the configs reference them, they never contain them.
Prefer free? Every server is in the catalog, and our setup guides cover each client step by step.
